Objective

A financial advisor needed a unified brand that shows personality to help stand out in a crowded industry.

About the project

The client came to me with a common problem small businesses have. After years of multiple printing companies create different variations of his name on print and promo products, he wanted a brand identity that remained consistent. After sitting down and talking with him, I helped to identify what was important as a small business owner as well as how he wanted to be perceived by clients and colleagues (a wolf, the leader of the pack).

Design Challenges

The client wanted to explore iconography of a wolf pack or world globe. I was able to present a couple early concepts incorporating these themes but cautioned that multiple elements would be counter to creating a functional and iconic logo.

(The client was ultimately in agreement with this direction.)

Iconography

The client gravitated towards the mythology of the alpha wolf protecting it’s family—always looking out in the best interest of the team.

A symbol of trust, the shield representing safety and security, helping to balance the wolf symbol and serve as a secondary icon.

The result is a bold yet timeless logo suite that will be able to grow with the company.
